Ethical (fairtrade, organic, sustainable) clothing is often only available in limited styles and sizes, and therefore only suitable for limited people and purposes. Whilst there are some mainstream companies who are moving towards ethical manufacture, they only go part way (eg fairtrade or organic).
If you want clothes that meet your needs and your ethical standards, why not have them made. Alteration and Re-design
Sustainable clothing isn't just about new materials or garments. Many of us have things we used to love but either don't fit or don't suit us anymore. Or perhaps you've found a gem in a charity or vintage shop but it's not quite right.

Clothes to fit over washable nappies
My own daughter is out of nappies now but she wore washable nappies from birth to nearly 3. I often found it frustrating finding clothes to fit, and her trousers always had massive turn-ups and a belt to hold the top up. Luckily she never crawled so I didn't have the problem of turn-ups catching her feet.
Thus was devised Rock Bottoms, clothing which fits over washable nappies and looks good. They are primarily trousers and dungarees with a fun and funky look, and made from organic sustainable fabrics which are also kind to skin as they have not been produced using irritant chemicals.
