Play: Love, war and women's lib.

The women of Greece are tired of wars which remove their men from their lives and their roles as husbands and fathers. Led by Lysistrata the women resolve to withhold sex from their men until they agree to peace…

Arwen Matthews and Pitchy Breath again bring their own innovative style to classical theatre with this anti-war Greek comedy. Arwen can also be seen on much of this site, modelling Firecat's masks.

    Glade Festival

    July 20th-22nd
Stiltwalking, walkabout & character comedy at the 2007 Glade Festival

"The Glade Festival, now in it's 4th year, is on the weekend of the 20th-22nd July. Having been the renegade dance stage at Glastonbury, it exploded out into its own multi-genre music festival and has steadily grown to be the premier cutting edge electronic music event in the UK. With a strong aversion to all things corporate and mainstream and with a great love of all things alternative, underground and interesting, the Glade this year will have a mind boggling array of artistic ideas; musically, sonically, visually and extra sensorily, from all over the world.."

More information can be found on the Glade Website

    Staffordshire University Summer Ball

    May 19th 2007

A fantastic night was had by all at Staffordshire University’s 2007 Summer Ball.

This year had a circus theme – Dominic was happy to provide stilt walking and poi-twirling, working with a number of other Dark Arts performers... stage acts from David Straightjacket and Dr Gore, burlesque strip tease from The Circus of Satan, the witty compere skills of Mr Flay as well as angle grinding and stilt walking from Asha!

(Copy shamelessly stolen from www.darkarts.org.uk – thanks Asha!)

    The Oxford Dark Masquerade

    January 27th 2007

In January 2007, The Oxford Masquerade filled the ballroom of Oxford's prestigious Randolph Hotel with a sumptuous masquerade ball laid on in the theme of "A Dance With the Damned". Firecat Masquerade was involved from the early stages back in October 2006. We provided decoration, spectacle and performers for the evening who played everything from entertainers as the guests arrived, to guards at the door of the ballroom, to the set-piece entertainments throughout the evening. The night culminated in the arrival of trio of stilt-walking angels, stalking in to the delight of the guests.
